From a cohesive brand identity to coherent communications, marketing is a key area which requires significant investment of business resource.The Brunel Marketing MSc provides graduates, professionals or consultants with critical insights into how to successfully manage this by following the marketing best practice of national and international organisations.This is an opportunity to study traditional and contemporary marketing philosophies and theories which are based upon academic research as well as real world practices. It's also possible to gain sought after qualifications in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and become a member while you study your master's in Marketing. Practical experience can be gained in the Business Planning module by creating a business plan with a route to market for a real entrepreneurial venture.If you start your course in September you can study one year full-time,16 months full-time (with a 6-12 weeks placement), or two years full-time (with one year's placement). If you start your course in January, you can study 15 months full-time, 19 months full-time (with 6-12 weeks placement), or 27 months (with one year's placement).Brunel's Marketing MSc is designed for anyone wishing to become a marketing professional or planning to undertake marketing research in an academic or commercial setting. Those with little or no marketing experience will appreciate the breadth of management subjects covered in the degree, specifically how marketing fits within the overall organisation practice.The course offers an excellent preparation for a career in marketing or associated fields, and in a myriad of organisations which require marketing services.
A 2.1 UK Honours degree or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification in management, business studies or a cognate discipline (with a large component of management related subjects in their degree); applicants from non-business/management disciplines (and without any business/management element) will be eligible if they have a 1st Class Honours degree or the overseas equivalent; applicants with a lower 2nd Class degree in a management, business studies or cognate discipline may be considered, providing they can show evidence of significant relevant work experience (minimum 2 years); applicants with non-degree qualifications will be also considered who have relevant work experience (minimum 5 years) and will be assessed on an interview basis; students whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6 in all areas); Pearson 58 (with a minimum of 51 in all subscores); or BrunELT 65 per cent (with a minimum of 60 per cent in all areas).

About this university
Brunel has a range of support services designed specifically for international students including 40 staff dedicated to them. They are available for matters as diverse as finance, immigration and admissions assistance as well as general queries. Each student has a personal tutor network and there is support available for those to whom English isnâ€™t their first language. There is an orientation program operated for three days that 95% of international students said was immensely helpful for their adjustment as well as regular events, trips and workshops. The Union of Brunel Students is based within the main campus in the Hamilton Centre. It operates the Academy nightclub, a bar called Locoâ€™s and a Subway food outlet. There are various clubs and societies available for students to get involved with ranging from interest based to cultural or religion as well as sports and arts. The Social Kitchen is the main campus refectory for meals and snacks while The Mezz is a modern bar serving food from lunch until evening. One of the student run media projects is the radio station called Radio Brunel, recently relaunched as an internet only station. Sports range across traditional and modern and make use of the various facilities within the university include two large sports halls, a climbing wall, exercise studio, squash courts and the More Energy Fitness Centre. Even indoor cricket and archery facilities are found on campus. Brunel was one of the first universities in the UK to enter the Formula Student Engineering competition. This is an annual program run around the world where student compete in formula-style events in cars designed and manufactured by the students. Undergraduate and postgraduate students work on different areas of the project and the university has won a prize every year since it started in 1999.
