Nursing is one of the most rewarding careers to enter, and more importantly, it is a privilege. Adult Nurses work with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, some of whom will be facing the most challenging life events. As an Adult Nurse you will need to deliver care to a range of clients with acute and complex care needs, and meet the challenges of a changing healthcare environment.
This Masters degree provides the exciting opportunity for graduates to enter the nursing profession. You will gain a comprehensive education in nursing and develop into a confident, autonomous, compassionate and research-aware practitioner, specialising in adult nursing. The programme includes an innovative exploration of leadership and management in healthcare and will enable you to critically evaluate evidence to inform decision making and apply analytical and creative problem solving approaches to complex situations. You will be fully equipped with the skills, knowledge and practical experience required to deliver excellent care as a modern-day nursing professional.

The Student Union is the representative of students within the university and responsible for organising the clubs and societies for outside the classroom activities. It also operates a nightclub and bar as well as the annual Sports Awards, Fresher’s Ball and other annual events. There are also advice and support services for daily life available for students. There are some 70 different sports and societies on offer including sports such as football, rugby, swimming and golf as well as student run media opportunities, volunteer and charity work and much more.
