Entry requirements
A minimum UK second class honours degree or equivalent in a related engineering or technology discipline. If you do not meet this requirement but have significant relevant experience and you can meet the demands of the course, your application will be considered. If your first language is not English, you will need to demonstrate adequate fluency to undertake the course. A minimum score IELTS 6 or TOEFL 550 (213 computer based) is normally required.

IELTS: 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each)

International students can make the International Student Support team their first point of call when arriving in the UK. They offer a specialist service for those from outside the UK that includes an immigration advice service and help with applying for entry clearance to the country as well as an extended visa. There is the Welcome Team who offer help when students first arrive as well as sorting matters such as getting a bank account, accessing health care and even bringing a family to the country while studying. There are English language resources to help those to whom it isn’t a native language as well as range of social activities and other events to enjoy their time and learn more about the UK. The student unions is on hand to help students with a range of advice and guidance across various issues that may affect them during their time at university. They offer representation to their members as well as both academic and non-academic advice on a range of topics, all confidentially. Among the services offered by the students union at the university are almost 100 clubs and societies to occupy time outside the classroom. These range from popular sports such as football and rugby to fitness activities such as kayaking or even cheerleading. All sports take part in the BUCS leagues against other colleges and universities.
