Description

This MSc will provide you with the knowledge and skills critical to making the right decisions about technology strategy, innovation and management to really make a difference to your organisation and your own professional development. It is applicable to a wide range of sectors, including IT, manufacturing, healthcare, defence, financial services, local and national government services – and throughout your studies you’ll be encouraged to apply your learning to your own particular technology context. You’ll begin by focusing on the operational aspects of managing technological innovation and change, before moving to explore a range of capabilities that are key to the strategic development and management of technological innovation. Your studies will conclude with an in-depth investigation of a technology management topic or problem of your choice.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements to study this qualification.

However, we do recommend that you have:

a UK bachelors degree (or an equivalent qualification), and/or
management experience in a field relevant to technology management.
If you don’t have a bachelors degree, irrespective of your management experience, we recommend you first study the module Managing technological innovation (T848) on its own.

Your spoken and written English must be of an adequate standard for postgraduate study. If English is not your first language, we recommend that you will need a minimum overall score of 6 and minimum score of 5.5 in each of the four components: reading, writing, speaking and listening under the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
