Robert Gordon University has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
This degree is designed to equip you for a career at the forefront of cyber security. You'll learn how to design and maintain secure information systems and networks, and to understand and manage threats to their security. The course will prepare you for an exciting career in a fast-paced, ever-changing field. Thanks to our state-of-the-art facilities, you will also be proficient in the use of modern equipment, principles, techniques, tools and methodologies for the design, implementation, maintenance and recovery of secure networks and information systems. You will understand legal requirements and current standards around information security, satisfying the demands of industry and IT providers for well-rounded computing practitioners who are expert in their holistic understanding of security issues.

•Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in Computing or related subject such as Electronics and Information Systems. •Applicants with a lower degree classification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.

About this university
International students
Students travel from around 130 countries to study at the university and there is plenty of help and advice on offer for them. This starts with assistance in applying to the university and country specific information to pre-arrival advice. Once in Aberdeen there is career advice services, visas and immigration information as well as courses to help those who don’t speak English as a first language. There is also help with accommodation issues and finding the right place to live during studies. The Student Association is responsible for the clubs and societies within the university and are based in a building near the Administrative Building in the city centre. There are some 40 different societies available as well as another 32 sports clubs. Student media includes a magazine published every two months, a radio station and a TV station operating via YouTube. Sports facilities on campus include a 25m pool, various gym facilities and a large sports halls. There are a variety of fitness classes and physiotherapy options available in addition to the sports clubs. The association is also responsible for organising the Freshers Fayre held every September, a great place for students to get a feel for the university and for what they want to do outside the classroom.
