The LLM/MSc Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy Law degree is available through flexible study options and provides an opportunity to critically assess key legal and contractual aspects (i.e. licensing, contracts, M&A, environmental, renewable energy) of the global Energy and Oil and Gas sectors, both in the UK and leading international regions. The course is designed to allow basic legal concepts to be covered in depth before building on this knowledge by moving onto specific energy, oil and gas law content.You will develop key transferable legal skills to drive your career further and on successful completion you will be able to understand and deal with some of the main energy legal issues in the industry.The course is suitable for those with legal qualifications or with considerable experience in Oil and Gas or Energy.

About this university
Students travel from around 130 countries to study at the university and there is plenty of help and advice on offer for them. This starts with assistance in applying to the university and country specific information to pre-arrival advice. Once in Aberdeen there is career advice services, visas and immigration information as well as courses to help those who donâ€™t speak English as a first language. There is also help with accommodation issues and finding the right place to live during studies. The Student Association is responsible for the clubs and societies within the university and are based in a building near the Administrative Building in the city centre. There are some 40 different societies available as well as another 32 sports clubs. Student media includes a magazine published every two months, a radio station and a TV station operating via YouTube. Sports facilities on campus include a 25m pool, various gym facilities and a large sports halls. There are a variety of fitness classes and physiotherapy options available in addition to the sports clubs. The association is also responsible for organising the Freshers Fayre held every September, a great place for students to get a feel for the university and for what they want to do outside the classroom.
