The International Hospitality Management MSc offers a taught programme that uses academic knowledge to inform operational hospitality management practice. Our worldwide industry connections enable our postgraduate students to study the hospitality industry from an entrepreneurial, operational and strategic management perspective. You will not only address core business and management subjects, but also hospitality from a design and concept development point of view. You will also study hospitality as a global phenomenon and how it is consumed by cultures and societies. On this course, you can expect an international approach and student body. Our facilities include a dedicated research lab where you’ll gain professional expertise. We are an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), an educational member of the Institute of Hospitality and members of both the Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME) and the International Council on Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) all of which informs our teaching and your learning. The course is suitable if you are looking to convert from another subject area and pursue a future career in hospitality or if you already have a grounding in hospitality or related subject areas such as business, management, events, tourism or sport.

Honours degree in any subject normally with a minimum 2:2 or equivalent from a NARIC-recognised institution, or an HND equivalent plus at least five years of relevant work experience. Other applicants with extensive industry experience will be considered on an individual basis. IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element.

About this university
There is plenty of information to help with an application to the university via the website. Once students are ready to come to Brighton there is help and advice about matters such as immigration and visas, financial guidance and help finding accommodation. When arriving, there is a week long orientation programme that is a great way to introduce students to the area and the university as well as helping with issues such as using the National Health Service and finding work between classes â€“ and of course, dealing with the weather! The student union is the best way to get involved with the many activities taking place outside the classroom at Brighton. The union is run by students for students and can offer a range of help and advice as well as organising the numerous sports clubs and interest societies available. It also organises events such as the Freshers and Welcome events, operates a number of bars on all of the campuses as well as nightclub events and special outings such as the Eastbourne Garden Party. The students union operate seven buildings across the five campuses including five student union shops supplying a range of essentials as well as reception areas where students can meet up. These are also the place to find out about the societies or volunteering opportunities as well as getting tickets to events.
