Digital Marketing is the chosen marketing approach for many companies and is now a major component of any marketing plan. The degree enables you to develop digital marketing plans and strategies, through an emphasis on solving real problems for real clients. You will develop the skills to formulate appropriate responses (from both a client and agency perspective) to complex marketing problems, within fast paced, challenging marketing environments. You will develop your employability and enhance your CV from day one, with a focus on the skills that employers want within this dynamic industry. Modules in social media marketing, campaign planning, customer insight and global marketing will prepare you for a number of digital marketing opportunities on graduation. This degree route provides a critical appreciation of the elements which digital marketing strategies cover, including web site development and analytics, consumer behaviour, social media marketing, digital campaign planning and branding within the global marketing context. You will be introduced to current and relevant examples of digital marketing and be given the opportunity to develop digital marketing plans for a range of companies and situations. Contemporary issues in digital marketing will be discussed and used in class groups to develop your understanding of the opportunities and multi-channel management decisions facing marketers. Using this knowledge, allied to the use of models and tools, will prepare you for employment in areas such as, campaign management, paid search advertising, social media marketing and other digital marketing roles.

Entry will be a 2:2 in an appropriate course, or equivalent level professional qualification, or significant demonstrable and subject relevant work experience.

About this university

Chichester offers a welcoming lifestyle for international students with plenty of help and assistance on hand. There is information on the website about how to apply as well as with matters such as fees and financing. There is also assistance with English language skills as well as advice on immigration and visas, working during studies and even bringing family members to England while studying. There are also various events for international students and help with finding the right accommodation. Student life has the University of Chichester Students Union at its heart, responsible for the organisation of the various clubs and societies on offer to students. The union also provides representation for their members and advice and assistance on a wide range of academic and non-academic matters. They also operate a number of businesses including the Zee Bar, which offers entertainment from televised sporting events to karaoke nights and pub quizzes. The Hub is in the Bognor campus and has a range of services including a bar, coffee bar and shop selling stationary and other essentials. There is also games areas, free televised sports events and a range of other events. Sports clubs at the university also fall under the heading of the Sports Federation. There are some twenty different clubs to become involved with ranging from traditional sports to adventure sports and even activities such as cheerleading. The Societies Federation are responsible for the management of the societies and there are over twenty of these. It is also possible to gain a V-certificate for volunteering through work done through the union.
