An Upper Second Class Bachelor's Degree in Law (or a degree with some legal components) is normally required, BUT account may also be taken of practical work experience or professional qualifications within a relevant field of study. We welcome applications from international students. Mature applicants without formal qualifications but relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply. Access to the internet, Word Processor (MS Word compatible) and an email address are also required; webcams desirable. English Language Prerequisites: Band F, IELTS7.0 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.

International students
Students from 135 countries regularly attend the university and he International Office is the main point of reference for them, as well as for students wanting to make use of the international campus in Malaysia. They are available to help prospective and new students with the various processes involved with studying in the UK such as immigration and visas paperwork, funding issues and other legal matters. Student life outside the classroom is organised by the Students’ Union, based in three buildings opposite the Hartley Library. It is separate from the university and generates its own funds from various activities. It is responsible for the organisation of the many clubs and societies found around the universities sites including the award-winning student radio station, Surge and a TV station. There is also a newspaper and magazine run by the students. The union operates a nightclub, cocktail bar and pub as well as a concert venue. Sports at the university come under the guidance of the Sport and Wellbeing department and they operate across two main venues, the Jubilee Sports Centre and Wide Lane Sports Ground. The university competes in numerous sports in the BUCS South East Conference.
