Description
Electronics and information technology are vital for global industries to function, and career opportunities continue to increase in the sector. The MSc Electronics and Information Technology course will develop your ability to manage new technologies and ensure high levels of product quality. It is ideal if you want a career in the electronics or IT industry, or if you already work in the engineering industry and want to enhance your potential.With this flexible Masters in Electronics and Information Technology, you can tailor your qualification to suit your individual needs and build on your existing studies and experience. The electronics course includes a 15-week project, which you may conduct in industry and could lead to job opportunities when you graduate. You will work on industrial case studies and be involved in live' mini-projects. If you study part-time and continue working in the electronics industry, you may be able to relate your major project to an aspect of your company's work.
Requirements
Entry requirements
A minimum 2:2 Honours degree in an appropriate discipline, or an HNC plus five years in industry, or an HND plus three years in industry. If you do not have these qualifications, we will consider your case individually. The course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

There are over 100 countries represented at the university and this means plenty of information is available for them. This includes information specific to each country as well as fees and scholarships information. There is information about immigration and visas issues as well the International Welcome Programme. This runs before courses begin and includes a range of activities designed to help those from outside the UK feel comfortable and at home in Wales. Many of the activities are free and usually see around 500 students taking part each year. There is also assistance with English language skills for those to whom it isn't a native language. The University of South Wales Students' Union (USWSU) is the voice of the students at the university as well as providing support and advice plus the running of the various extracurricular activities. All students are automatically members and the union offers advice both academic and non-academic for its members. There are personal development help, guidance and other expertise on hand to help students deal with issues and to make the most of their time at the university. There is even assistance with finding accommodation. Sports teams take part in the British Universities and Colleges Sport league and cup competitions. Membership costs include transport to games, pitch hire for matches and training as well as kit and equipment, admin costs and even insurance as well as referees fees. Sports on offer include traditional and modern ones such as football and rugby. There are also a large number of societies and interest groups on offer with everything from dancing to debating having its own society. This means you can get together with others of the same interest or find something new.
