Of the different societies and clubs there are those covering nationality or belief including an Indian Society and a Christian Union as well as political and activist groups. There are plenty of recreational and hobby groups such as dance, drama or food societies and even ones covering certain subjects such as the Psychology Society, for those students who don’t get enough in the classroom! Sports plays a particularly important role in the university in teaching and in extra-curricular activities. There are over 300 international performers from 30 different sports to have come through the university including seven captains of the Welsh rugby team.
