Our MSc Human Resource Management programme is approved by the Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is ideal for those interested in developing a career in human resource management, personnel or allied fields of management.Subject to appropriate option choices and professional membership, graduates will meet the knowledge requirements for Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD), the professional body for Human Resources, Employment Relations and related professions in the UK.Our MSc Human Resource Management programme is taught by academics with both a strong track record in human resource management related research and practitioner HR experience. It focuses on developing critical thinking and analytical skills alongside more practical skills required for a career in people management. These practical skills include making presentations, role-play practice in handling challenging situations, and problem solving skills through case study analysis.Our links to the CIPD reinforce the professional skills and behaviours that you develop throughout the course, as well as providing the opportunity for networking with business leaders and HR professionals.We pride ourselves on the international perspective which is a theme throughout the programme, as is the emphasis on ethical best practice which one would expect from aspiring professionals. Loughborough School of Business and Economics is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and these values are reflected throughout the programme.Our masters in Human Resource Management offers you the opportunity to explore a range of aspects relating to Human Resource Management. Optional modules enable you to tailor your degree to suit your interests and career aspirations.You will also have the opportunity to undertake an individual research project on an agreed topic, guided by one of our expert research supervisors.
A 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification), ideally with a substantial business, management or cognate social science component. Applicants with a 2:2 or from a different discipline may be considered with relevant work experience.

Loughborough is home to students from over 130 countries around the world and the international student body normally numbers some 2,500. There are various resources available for those from outside the UK to help them prepare for their time at the university and make the most of it. these includes practical elements such as visa information and booking the free coach service from Heathrow airport as well as induction and welcome sessions. There is also plenty of information available to help adjust to life in the UK and making the most of your studies. There is a specialist International Student Support team on hand at the Student Support Centre to deal with a range of issues particular to international students as well religious facilities areas for all backgrounds and faiths. The Student Union building is found to the north-east end of the campus and is responsible for a range of clubs and societies. It also has five rooms, each with their own themes and has been awarded an International Experience Award for its quality. The students are represented by the Union Council and there are also academic support services on offer. There are 56 sports clubs and a Societies Federation numbering some 80 societies. These include those working from the media centre where the TV station, radio and student magazine operate from. There are also around 45 different projects involving the students working with elderly, special needs, homeless people or the environment. The fundraising organisation raises some Â£1 million a year for national and international charities.
