Advanced Mechanical Engineering with Materials

This course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and provides a route for you to achieve Chartered Engineer status. It's aimed at those who wish to study advanced topics in mechanical engineering with a focus on materials. It's been developed to provide you with an in-depth technical understanding of advanced mechanical engineering topics. You'll also develop generic skills that allow you to contribute effectively in developing company capabilities. The course is designed to make you more employable and also satisfies the Further Learning requirements necessary to obtain Chartered Engineer status.

There are also outdoor sports facilities around the city that the university has access to. Strathclyde Music represents the various student-run music clubs and groups including a number of educational and community projects. It is also home to the Maurice Taylor Organ, one of the most important pipe organs in the country. For those of a spiritual nature, there is a Chaplaincy Centre that caters for all denominations and is found in the Graham Hills Building. There are also a number of faith groups and societies to allow people of the same faith to gather together.
