國際學生
There are over 100 countries represented at the university and this means plenty of information is available for them. This includes information specific to each country as well as fees and scholarships information. There is information about immigration and visas issues as well the International Welcome Programme. This runs before courses begin and includes a range of activities designed to help those from outside the UK feel comfortable and at home in Wales. Many of the activities are free and usually see around 500 students taking part each year. There is also assistance with English language skills for those to whom it isn't a native language. The University of South Wales Students' Union (USWSU) is the voice of the students at the university as well as providing support and advice plus the running of the various extracurricular activities. All students are automatically members and the union offers advice both academic and non-academic for its members. There are personal development help, guidance and other expertise on hand to help students deal with issues and to make the most of their time at the university. There is even assistance with finding accommodation. Sports teams take part in the British Universities and Colleges Sport league and cup competitions. Membership costs include transport to games, pitch hire for matches and training as well as kit and equipment, admin costs and even insurance as well as referees fees. Sports on offer include traditional and modern ones such as football and rugby. There are also a large number of societies and interest groups on offer with everything from dancing to debating having its own society. This means you can get together with others of the same interest or find something new.
